Kibo Teams Information

Gadget Girls

Team members: Jessica (also team manager), Jascenta, Shalin, Nicola, Elizabeth, Ella, Pooja, Eloise, Alyssa

We are an all-girls team from across New South Wales. We are inexperienced when it comes to coding and robotics, but we have all come together to give this challenge the best we can. We have many diverse personalities throughout this team, all dedicated and determined to reach our ultimate potential. Entering as an all-female tea, we are striving to get as far in this challenge as we can and prove as women, we are just as capable as men. Us, as a team, are doing this to show you do not need to be an academically talented person. We are just average girls with a mind set to give this a go.

Claustrophobic

Team members: Rowan (also team manager), Hikari, Andrew, Kent, Jack and Kristian

Join us in the KIBO RPC and meet people from around the world while we battle it out to find the leak on the International Space Station! Our team Claustrophobic is very excited, and we have no idea what we are doing but we are looking forward to the fun!

As we are all studying mechatronics engineering, the robot simulation and space mechanics interested us greatly. Since space is a growing sector for Australia, we think this is a perfect opportunity for us to get involved. Since there was minimal setup and with all of us stuck at home, we also found this project perfect for filling our time.

ICONSMAT

Join us in the KIBO RPC and meet people from around the world while we battle it out to find the leak on the International Space Station! Our team ICONSMAT KIBO is super excited about this project and we look forward to paving a path towards Mars.

Our team is based in Western Sydney and we’re humbled to be part of this unique challenge. Of course, this is not a normal challenge and that’s exactly what makes it super exciting. The training sessions are important to lay the foundation towards a successful computer programming competition and we are going to take whatever is needed to build up the repairing robot. Our background is mostly in the construction industry, however, in order to be able to provide shelter on Mars we need to pass this milestone first. There are definitely many wonderful experiences going to be learned during this challenge which ultimately helps in making humans an extraterrestrial creature.
