Future space team of Victor Harbor High School, we are from Victor Harbor , South Australia, A tourist town for the Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whales and the rare plover Bird. The ability to learn coding and programming. Teamwork makes the dream work. The plover bird represents the land, the whale represents the ocean in space, because the whale and sea are opposites to the sky/space.

We are EquiNexus, a team of three friends with a common interest in AI, software, robotics and space. Between us, we are studying or have completed studies in artificial intelligence, and we thought Kibo would be a great chance to use what we know in a completely different setting. The idea of programming a robot for a space-based challenge sounded too interesting to pass up. The name EquiNexus also means something to us. “Equi” comes from the horse in our logo and also represents balance and equality, while “Nexus” is about connection, similar to the way nodes connect in a neural network. That idea fits us well as a team – three people working together, bringing different ideas, and trying to solve the same problem. We’re looking forward to learning a lot, challenging ourselves, and seeing how far we can take it.
